It is with great sadness Cayton Parish Council acknowledge the passing of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II

On behalf of Cayton Parish Council members and parishioners of Cayton, Cayton Bay and Killerby, the Chairman Cllr. Roberta Swiers wishes to express sadness felt by this event and convey condolences to His Royal Highness King Charles III and the Royal family.

As a mark of respect all meeting and Parish Council run events are cancelled through the official mourning period. Rearrangements will be published in due course.

The Parish Council have provided a physical book of condolence that will be available to all from 10am to 12pm , 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at The Jubilee Hall , Main Street, Cayton each weekday up to the 20th September 2022.

This will also be available on weekends as follows : Saturday 10th September 10am to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm

Sunday 11th September 10am to 1pm and 6pm to 8pm

The book will tour the Parish and details of other venues will be released

Should you wish to lay flowers you can do so at the Millennium Gardens V.E Day memorial bench. Please could we ask that flowers are left tied without their plastic wrappings.

Four New Parish Councillors

The Parish Council will be holding drop in , free light lunches every Thursday 11am to 1pm from October to March at the Jubilee Hall . This is to give residents in Cayton , Cayton Bay and Killerby a warm space each week , access to a computer will be available if you need to apply for something on line too .
